Yep, It’s Really Over After Season Four
Battlestar Galactica producers David Eick and Ron Moore have confirmed it: the show will be over after Season Four.
With Eick focusing on the high-profile, and potentially high-profit, Bionic Woman, and ratings dipping in spite of critical acclaim, the end may have been inevitable. Rumors have been rampant (and often reported as fact) ever since Edward James Olmos said the end was near at the Saturn Awards a few weeks ago. But then came the denials, and folks like me held out hope it was not true. Unfortunately, it is.
When it was announced that big news was coming, some fans were hoping the “scoop” would be plot-related, but no luck. At least they promised to end the show “with a bang” … but considering the bang that started the series was the nuclear annihilation of most of the human population, that statement is not exactly reassuring.

I wouldn’t give up the battlestar just yet. It may very well be true right now but something could happen mid-season or BW could tank, fans could mount an insurrection, etc. You just never know; how many seasons did they say Stargate’s (insert season here) was going to be the last? Or ST:NG?

So sad, but I suspect if Bionic Woman tanks, there could be a spin-off and focus on life on Earth.
