Tricia Helfer Walks All Over Canada This Friday
Tricia Helfer has won good reviews on the film festival circuit for her performance in Walk All Over Me, which opens in cities across Canada this Friday, December 7, 2007.
Tricia plays a dominatrix named Celene in the movie, which is being promoted as a comedy thriller. Her mixture of confidence and fear have impressed critics, but should be no surprise to fans who have seen her range of emotions as Battlestar Galactica’s Number Six. While the movie is currently only scheduled for a Canadian theatric release, that could change as the flick was recently purchased for distribution by the Weinstein Company.
Tricia also won rave reviews from her coworkers on the set of Walk All Over Me, where she became a favorite of the crew for more reasons than her many scenes in small outfits.
"The way she did that was by making herself accommodating," director Robert Cuffley recently told Straight.com. "No ego, just, ‘Can I do that again? What can I do to make this shot easier? Would it help you guys if I did this?’ Those were all phrases that would come out of her mouth. After a while, you’d be like, ‘Wow, she’s not a prima donna Cylon from Galactica. She’s a down-to-earth farm girl.’"
Other tidbits from the interview include Tricia’s memories of growing up on a farm, she drives a Porsche, she likes to watch Arrested Development but is not into Lord of the Rings, and she is still considering pitching a reality show about building "green" homes to channels like HGTV (she is currently building a green vacation home with her husband).
