Starbuck and Humanity. Is there a psychic link?
Remember when Starbuck was shown her picture, that she did as a child? If you recall, it was almost exactly similar, to the diagram in the Eye of Jupiter Temple. Built some 4000 years before, in an ancient existence when human beings were supposedly scattered across several universes, and destined to finally combine as one respective culture of people.
Now, lets face it. Starbuck as a spiritual character? I have a hard time imagining that. She’d sooner make a “spirit” out of you, than be involved in spiritual things. Her reality is fighting and destroying Cylons, drinking and living hard. She is hard bitten, and will put her foot where the sun doesn’t shine in you, just for looking at her sideways.
Let’s consider the other side of the coin. Does this mean she can’t be a psychic conduit for humanity? Does her lifestyle disqualify her from having the ability to create a psychic link which if opened could reveal a flood fof information, vital to Roslin and Adama, for human survival/ No, I don’t think so.
Even in so called biblical references, we see ” deity” inspired acts of war throughout the “old testament. And from people who were not always of the best personal character. I’m not trying to be “blasphemous, but making an analogy, and comparison.
Does this mean Starbuck will have to give up her warrior like behaviors and temperament? Hell no! However, I’m sure of this. She has some spiritual link to the ancient prophecies. I’ll bet my last dollar on it. And, when it’s tapped, it will be even more of a victory for the Colonials.
