SciFi Red Carpet: Tricia Helfer & Jamie Bamber at the 2007 Scream Awards

Battlestar Galactica’s Tricia Helfer and Jamie Bamber hit the red carpet this past weekend, making an appearance at the Spike TV Scream Awards. The awards took place Friday night at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles and featured a feast of scifi stars and horror heroes, and if you were not able to be there in person you can watch the excitement tonight on SpikeTV.

After the awards ceremony Jamie & Tricia partied with folks like Kristin Bell and Zachary Quinto from Heroes, scifi spoof actor (and friend of Lucy Lawless) Bruce Campbell, Paris Hilton, Quintin Tarintino and Robert Rodriguez of Grindhouse, and comic legend Neil Gaimon who was awarded the Comic Con Icon Award. A Captain Morgan impersonator was also roaming the crowd, hopefully serving rum in addition to shilling rum because the former job seems a lot more fun.

It is interesting that Katee Sackhoff did not appear at the Scream awards, even though she was nominated for “SciFi Siren.” Tricia would have presumably accepted for her if she had won, or if Battlestar Galactica had won in the Best TV Show category. Alas, Katee and BSG both failed to win a Scream award, losing to Megan Fox of Transformers: The Movie and Heroes respectively.

This is the second Spike TV awards show appearance for Tricia Helfer this year. In June she appeared at the first annual “Guy’s Choice Awards” looking radient in a gold backless gown and ready to rumble. Unfortunately Battlestar Galactica struck out then as well, as Tricia lost the “Sexiest Femme Fatale” award to Rose McGowan.
