Meet Young Adama

This lovely young man is Nico Cortez, the actor who landed the plum role of young William Adama in Razor and the Battlestar Galactica mini episodes that are scheduled to start this month.
There will be eight mini episodes setting up one of the central plot lines of Razor, with each episode ranging from two to three minutes each in length. The episodes will air on the SciFi channel, but if fans miss the television airings they will be able to catch them on SciFi.com and all eight will be included on the Razor DVD as well.
Nico’s previous scifi experience includes playing Manny on Alien Fury: Countdown to the Invasion. His major television experience includes playing a cop on an episode of CSI, a SWAT team leader on an episode of Alias, and and undercover vice cop on the short lived Manhattan, AZ. Hmm, something tells me he gets typecast as a law enforcement type.

[...] Nico Cortez does a great job playing Billy “Husker” Adama, giving him a youthful false bravado and sexual neediness but also showing flashes of the pragmatism and cerebral caution of the Admiral we know and love. The action is intense, the production value is amazing, and by the time you get to part four you are in for one hell of a ride. [...]

I went to Portage High School with Fernando Samano. He did have a son in 1987, sadly though he never was a father to him. Maybe that is why he changed his name, so he was not found for child support or any responsibility that comes with fathering a child.
His son is a great young man, he is 21 years old now and a proud Marine. He is a wonderful person who serves each and every day for our country. He is strong, handsome, respectful and warm hearted.
You may be a fan of Nico Cortez AKA Fernando Samano, but I am not. I am a fan of his son and his son’s mother who did a great job raising him.
