Katee Sackhoff in Esquire

This is the Summer of Sackhoff … Katee has another great interview, this one in Esquire. The mag sings her praises and has high hopes for her career now that she is in the Bionic Woman.
Katee has some great quotes and the article is a fun read, but it is hard to take Esquire seriously because the mag leads off with a question about bad ass Bionic Woman character that is phrased “How much of a release is [playing a bad girl] for you after years of being a goody-goody?”
A goody-goody? Seriously?? Starbuck???
Fans of “obscure” shows often do more harm than good when they get xenophobic about a show, cutting off new fans by claiming that only true fans know the difference between the Pink Raygun and the Hot Pink Raygun and only those fans shall watch guilt free! But if you a writer for a major magazine planning an interview, you could do a five minute google.com search and learn that your interview subject was hardly a goody-goody in her last show. Or you could just wade in, press release in hand and knowledge free, and ask a very strange question that shows you did not research at all. Your call.

[...] Last week I posted about Esquire magazine’s interview with Katee Sackhoff, and ranted about their lead question. The magazine asked her if playing bad ass Sarah Corvis in Bionic Woman was a release after playing that “goody-goody” Starbuck for the past few years. Yes, it was a stupid question and hardly worthy of a rant, but it hit a nerve with me because journalists who don’t do their research are a long-time pet peeve. [...]
