Happy Birthday, Alisen Down!

Alisen Down Battlestar Galactica

January third is the birthday of the tough and lovely Alisen Down, who plays Jean Barolay on Battlestar Galactica.  Jean was introduced to the series as one of Samuel Anders’ resistance fighters on Caprica, and in the past two seasons Alisen has continued to show in various scenes involving gunfire against the Cylons.  She was part of the resistance on New Caprica, and the firefight on the algae planet.

Hopefully Alisen will be back on Battlestar Galactica in season four, and she will have a successful year with the various film and television projects she is working on.  The one that has gotten the most publicity is a movie called Control Alt Delete, which explores online fetish cultures and Internet sex addiction in an office environment.  Alisen plays the boss, who is on the search for a "computer rapist." 

In the past Alisen has had guest roles on Smallville and Stargate, and a variety of roles in Canadian television series.  Happy Birthday Alisen, and may you see great success in 2008!
